Cody Wheeler is an aspiring children’s book author and illustrator living in upstate New York. Known for creating stories packed with smart, silly, and wonderfully stinky characters, Cody’s mission is to make kids laugh and parents say, “Okay, just one more Book.”
As a girl dad, Cody spends most of his time attempting to solve mysteries like “Where did that smell come from?” and “How did glitter get in my coffee?” Adding to the delightful madness are his three cats, who contribute nothing to the household except fur on his laptop and an uncanny ability to sit directly on his keyboard at the worst possible moments.
Cody is also a champion procrastinator. He has mastered the fine art of almost finishing projects. While he often swears he only needs “a couple more weeks” to finish whatever he’s working on, you’re more likely to find him brainstorming possible plot ideas for his next book. But sometimes he pulls it off, proving that a little chaos goes a long way in fueling creativity.
When he’s not writing, drawing, or stepping on rogue toys, Cody enjoys drinking coffee (in absurd quantities), avoiding the gym, and pretending to fix things around the house. His stories are inspired by the funny, messy, and magical moments of family life, and his mission is to make kids—and their grown-ups—laugh until their cheeks hurt.
